Lake Tyler Baptist Church’s desire is to teach and train our children in the Word of God. We long to see them come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and grow as belivers and followers of Christ.
The Word of God is the foundation that we hold strong to and we long to leave a lasting impression that will touch the heart and lives of the kids that come through our doors.
Come and visit with us and know your kids will be taught the truths of God’s Word in a loving and safe enviroment.
“AWANA” is derived as an acronym of “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed”, taken from 2 Timothy 2:15 which says, “Study to show yourselves approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
This is our desire here at Lake Tyler, to teach the kids the Word of God and help them put God’s Word into their memory and hide it in their hearts as it says in Psalm 119:11 “Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.” Proverbs 22:6 tells us “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” This is an important part of God’s calling and command to the church and the family. This is our goal and desire for every kids that comes into the doors of our church.
The Awana program meets every Wednesday nights at 6:00 for dinner and clubs start at 6:30. This is a great place for your kids to come and learn about the love of God and His Word. For more information, call the church office at (903) 566-8542.
